FAQ — The Festive Farms

Question 1

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking 9–12 months in advance for weddings and large events, and 3–6 months for birthdays, reunions, and smaller gatherings. Peak season (October–April) fills quickly — if you have a specific date in mind, don't wait. A deposit holds your date immediately.

Question 2

How does the deposit and payment process work?

Accepted Answer

A deposit is required to secure your date — the amount varies by venue (see each venue's detail page). The remaining balance is due 30 days before your event. We accept all major credit cards and bank transfers. Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied to a rescheduled date.

Question 3

Can I book online, or do I need to call?

Accepted Answer

You can submit a reservation inquiry entirely online through our booking page. Select your venue, date, and event type, fill in your details, and we'll review and confirm within 1–2 business days. For tours or detailed questions, call us at (352) 852-7425.

Question 4

Can I hold multiple dates while I decide?

Accepted Answer

We can place a 48-hour courtesy hold on one date while you finalize your decision. After 48 hours, the date is released unless a deposit is received. We're unable to hold multiple dates simultaneously.

Question 5

Can I tour the property before booking?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — we encourage it. Private tours are available by appointment, typically Tuesday through Saturday. Contact us through the contact page or call (352) 852-7425 to schedule. Tours take about 45–60 minutes and cover all three venue spaces.

Question 6

What is the cancellation policy for events?

Accepted Answer

For event bookings, cancellations made more than 45 days before the event date will receive a refund of payments beyond the deposit. Cancellations within 45 days of the event are non-refundable. We strongly recommend event insurance for added peace of mind.

Question 7

What is the cancellation policy for house rentals?

Accepted Answer

For house rental bookings, cancellations made more than 15 days before the rental date will receive a refund of payments beyond the deposit. Cancellations within 15 days are non-refundable. Deposits are non-refundable in all cases.

Question 8

Can I reschedule my event?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we'll do our best to accommodate a reschedule. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 60 days before your original date and are subject to availability. Your deposit transfers to the new date. Only one reschedule is permitted per booking.

Question 9

What if I need to change my guest count or event details?

Accepted Answer

Minor changes to guest count, event type, or setup preferences can be made up to 14 days before your event at no charge, provided the new guest count stays within your venue's capacity. Significant changes may require a new booking agreement.

Question 10

How many guests does the Harvest Barn hold?

Accepted Answer

The Harvest Barn accommodates up to 60 guests. It features rustic exposed beams, string lights, and a warm, intimate atmosphere — ideal for weddings, milestone birthdays, and rehearsal dinners.

Question 11

How many guests does the Garden Terrace hold?

Accepted Answer

The Garden Terrace is our largest venue, accommodating up to 250 guests. It's a stunning open-air space with a floral arch backdrop, manicured grounds, and golden-hour lighting — perfect for large weddings, corporate events, and family reunions.

Question 12

How many guests does the Farmhouse Estate hold?

Accepted Answer

The Farmhouse Estate is our most intimate venue, accommodating up to 16 guests. It's ideal for micro-weddings, elopements, private dinners, and small family celebrations where an exclusive, home-like setting is the priority.

Question 13

Can I book more than one venue for the same event?

Accepted Answer

Yes — many clients combine the Harvest Barn and Garden Terrace for ceremony and reception. Combined bookings are subject to availability and are priced separately. Contact us to discuss a multi-venue package.

Question 14

What happens if my guest count exceeds the venue capacity?

Accepted Answer

For safety and comfort, we strictly enforce venue capacity limits. If your guest count grows beyond the limit, we'll work with you to upgrade to a larger venue if available. We cannot accommodate events that exceed posted capacities.

Question 15

How far is The Festive Farms from Mirada, Epperson, and Watergrass?

Accepted Answer

We're approximately 10–15 minutes from all three lagoon communities — Mirada (~10 min), Epperson (~12 min), and Watergrass (~15 min). Many families combine a morning at the lagoon with an afternoon or evening celebration at the farm.

Question 16

Are there water activities at The Festive Farms?

Accepted Answer

The Festive Farms is a land-based farm venue — we don't have a lagoon or pool on the property. However, we're the perfect complement to a day at Mirada, Epperson, or Watergrass. Celebrate after the swim: gather the whole crew for a farm dinner, birthday party, or family reunion just minutes away.

Question 17

Is The Festive Farms family-friendly for kids?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Our open farm setting is ideal for families with children of all ages. There's plenty of outdoor space for kids to explore, and our venues are designed to accommodate multi-generational gatherings. We ask that children remain supervised at all times on the property.

Question 18

Do you offer any packages for lagoon community residents?

Accepted Answer

We welcome lagoon community families and frequently host events for Mirada, Epperson, and Watergrass residents. While we don't have a formal community discount at this time, we're happy to discuss your event needs and find the right venue and package for your group. Reach out through our contact page.

Question 19

Is parking available on-site?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we have ample on-site parking for all venue sizes, including accessible spaces. Parking is included in your venue rental at no additional charge. For events over 150 guests, we recommend coordinating a shuttle or valet service, which we can help arrange.

Question 20

How do I get to The Festive Farms?

Accepted Answer

We're located at 10115 Curley Road, San Antonio, FL 33576 — about 45 minutes northeast of Tampa and 15 minutes from Wesley Chapel. GPS works reliably to our address. Look for the farm entrance sign on Curley Road. Detailed directions are included in your booking confirmation.

Question 21

Can guests use rideshare services?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Uber and Lyft both service our area. For evening events, we recommend guests arrange rideshare in advance as wait times can be longer in rural areas. We're happy to share a rideshare drop-off point with your guests in the event details.

Question 22

What happens if it rains on my event day?

Accepted Answer

Every outdoor event includes a rain contingency plan at no extra charge. The Harvest Barn serves as our primary indoor backup for Garden Terrace events. We monitor weather closely and communicate with you at least 48 hours before your event so you can inform your guests. Florida weather is unpredictable — we're always prepared.

Question 23

How do you handle Florida summer heat?

Accepted Answer

Summer events (May–September) are scheduled in the late afternoon and evening to avoid peak heat. The Harvest Barn is climate-controlled. The Garden Terrace has shade structures and fans available. We recommend scheduling outdoor ceremonies no earlier than 5:00 PM from June through September.

Question 24

What is your policy for severe weather or hurricanes?

Accepted Answer

In the event of a named storm or mandatory evacuation order, we will work with you to reschedule at no penalty. We monitor all National Weather Service advisories and will contact you as soon as a weather event threatens your date. Your safety is always the priority.

Question 25

What is included in every venue rental?

Accepted Answer

Every rental includes: exclusive use of the venue space for your contracted hours, tables and chairs, on-site parking, a dedicated day-of coordinator, access to the bridal suite or getting-ready room, and basic setup/breakdown time. Linens, catering, florals, entertainment, and décor are arranged separately.

Question 26

Can I bring my own caterer?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we are a bring-your-own-vendor venue. You're welcome to use any licensed and insured caterer, florist, photographer, DJ, or entertainment provider. We maintain a preferred vendor list if you'd like recommendations. All vendors must provide proof of liability insurance.

Question 27

Is alcohol allowed, and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Alcohol is permitted and must be served by a licensed bartender or catering company. Self-service bars are not allowed. Your bartender or caterer must provide a certificate of liability insurance. Last call is 30 minutes before your contracted end time.

Question 28

Can I bring my own decorations?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you're welcome to decorate the space to match your vision. Open flames (candles, sparklers) must be in enclosed holders. Confetti, glitter, and rice are not permitted. All decorations must be removed by the end of your contracted time. We're happy to recommend local florists and décor rental companies.

Question 29

Do you provide a day-of coordinator?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a Festive Farms coordinator is on-site for every event. They manage venue logistics, vendor coordination, and timeline flow so you can focus on celebrating. Our coordinator is not a wedding planner; for full planning services, we can recommend trusted local planners.

Question 30

Do I need event insurance?

Accepted Answer

We strongly recommend event insurance for all bookings. It's affordable (typically $100–$200) and covers cancellations due to illness, weather, or vendor no-shows. Some policies also include liability coverage. We require proof of liability insurance for events serving alcohol.
